What qualifications do your instructors have?

Our trainers are highly experienced professionals with real-world expertise in medical billing and coding. Many have completed our programs, bringing firsthand knowledge and practical insights to their teaching. All instructors are certified with at least one or more of the following coding certifications: CCS, CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, and/or CDIP.

Are your courses accredited or certified by any professional organizations?

Yes, our training sessions and boot camps are certified with the Small and Emerging Business Development (SEBD) and the Division of Small Business Services Entrepreneurship Hudson Initiative.  Our sessions are also designed to align with industry standards and may help prepare students for certification exams through recognized organizations like AAPC and AHIMA.

What is the duration of your programs?

The timeframe for our training sessions varies depending on the program. We offer both self-paced and structured schedules to accommodate different learning needs.

Do you offer in-person or online training?

Our program is offered exclusively online. Our experienced trainers use a variety of virtual platforms to create an engaging and interactive learning environment that closely mirrors an in-person learning experience.

What is the process for contracting with TRS?

The process begins with an initial consultation to understand your organization’s specific needs. We then develop a customized action plan and work closely with your team to implement solutions that deliver measurable results.

What materials and resources will I need for the programs?

Our sessions provide access to valuable learning materials, practical exercises, and continuous support from our experienced trainers. While training materials such as the coding manuals (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, or HCPCS) are included in the session price, some materials that are required for you to be successful in your training can be conveniently purchased directly through us at an additional cost to you. Our goal is to ensure you have everything you need for a successful learning experience!

Is any prior education or experience necessary to register for a program?

Yes, all training sessions or boot camps require at least a completed high school education by way of a diploma or GED. Most of our training sessions welcome everyone from complete beginners to seasoned healthcare professionals. Additionally, prior education and experience in college-level medical terminology and anatomy & physiology would prove to be a bonus and benefit in these sessions, but it’s important to note that they may be a requirement for some of our advanced training sessions. We've designed our programs to be accessible and valuable to learners at every stage.

What kind of support can I expect after completing a program?

We offer continued support through your first scheduled and successful completion of your coding certification examination. Additionally, we offer job placement assistance, networking opportunities, and access to advanced specialty courses for up to one year after becoming certified.

Are there any eligibility requirements or prerequisites for the CDIP program?

Yes, to qualify for the CDIP certification exam and this program, individuals are required to meet the following conditions: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, MD, or RN credential OR A Bachelor’s degree or higher plus 2 years of clinical documentation or coding experience AND Minimum foundational knowledge of coding (ICD-10-CM and PCS).

What is TRS's refund policy?

Enrollment deposits are non-refundable. Any payments made other than the enrollment deposit will be 100% refunded only if requested before the start of the program. Any payments made on or after the first day of the program are non-refundable. Transfer requests to future training sessions may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
